Climatology
Undoubtedly one of the main attractions of the Andean Raid is the impressive setting in which the race develops.
A favorable weather is essential of enjoyment. The most appropriate period covers the months of June and July, marking the beginning of the dry season. During this period, the weather is nice, the air clean, the visibility perfect, and the setting is absolutely spectacular and lush after the rainy season.
As part of the dry season, the Andean Raid organization has specifically chosen the race dates when the weather is more favorable from the point of view of both statistical and knowledge of the country, ie, when the days are clearer and weather with the lowest rate of rainfall throughout the year.
